Set Gentoo LiveCD Root Password
In gentoo when you first install, the root pw is scrambled so you have to go to the console

1. Press ctl-alt-F1
2. 
   In the root console type passwd and then type your new password
3. 
   To get BACK to the GUI try (or one of the Function keys) to bring you back to the GUI window. The console window says to type "gdm" or "startx" but X is already running so this won't work.
